Sorry to say, I seem to have lost all the subscriptions (RSS feeds) – at least at Feedburner.
What that means is, if you “subscribed” before, you will have to re-subscribe.
Not sure what went wrong, I suspect something with this new theme (the new look) wasn’t quite right … Read the rest of this entry →

In case you have been wondering where we are, we are designing a new bird flu forecast web site (the main site).
The main reason for the change is
a) navigation – the navigation needs to be simplified but also expanded
b) room – as more text gets added, we decided more white space was needed to keep it readable yet effective
c) the website needed to be updated anyway for new browsers coming out, especially for the new release of Windows.
It won’t take too long to get the new site up and running but we will keep you posted.
Thanks for your patience.

Humm, I just wrote a post and it isn’t here … wonderful! Let’s see what happens to this.
I did start out to explain that a) I am just trying this blogging software and b) I also just moved the whole xodigo.com to a new web hosting company. I think there is a learning curve on all sides on this :-)
Also, what I did want to say is that I read at least 10 articles per day on H5N1, Avian bird flu. (Okay, so I find the subject interesting for a number of reasons.) I am appauled at the number of media reports I am reading these last days – especially since the “Fatal Contact” movie from ABC came out in the USA – which claim that H5N1 is not a real threat to us all. Ridiculous! History alone shows us that the pandemics over the 300 years and especially the last 100 years are worth watching.
No, we are not to be scared and panic, but we do need to be aware and prepare. That is one reason I am compiling major news headlines this year – just scan over them and see if Bird Flu really is something to be scoffed at. Here are the links. (I hope this post shows up!!)
